Overview

Scott Goldberger is a principal with Kaufman Rossin and leads the firm’s Estate and Trust practice. He specializes in developing and implementing sophisticated estate planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals and families.

Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Scott practiced estate, trust, and tax law in the New York and South Florida offices of large, international law firms. His law background and tax expertise provide a solid foundation for advising clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxation, asset protection planning, and tax compliance for estates and trusts. In addition, he assists clients in identifying and implementing estate planning techniques to help them achieve their goals, including family limited partnerships, intentionally defective grantor trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, and charitable trusts.

An author and speaker, Scott has been featured in The New York Times, Trusts & Estates, Florida Bar Journal, and Florida Trend, among other publications.

Scott is active in both civic and charitable community organizations. He is a past president and current board member of the Greater Boca Raton Estate Planning Council. Scott also is a member of the board of directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton and the George Snow Scholarship Fund’s Professional Advisory Council.

Scott holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting, with a specialization in taxation, from the University of Florida. He is licensed to practice law in Florida and New York and as a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and Indiana.
