Michael Salzman is a financial services assurance and consulting manager in Kaufman Rossin’s Boca Raton office. He performs audit and attestation engagements for clients in the investment field, including hedge funds, private equity funds and registered investment advisers.
He has extensive experience in the valuation of investments, including stocks, bonds, derivatives, private equity investments, and investments in other funds. Michael reviews and prepares statements to meet investors’ requests, examines clients’ internal controls, suggests improvements and helps clients meet new accounting standards.
Before joining Kaufman Rossin in 2012, he was an auditor at the Office of the Auditor General of Florida, where he performed financial and operational audits of large school districts and the University of Florida. In addition, he worked on special audits for state municipalities and court systems regarding state law and regulation compliance. Michael also has experience auditing clients in the non-profit, healthcare and manufacturing industries. Moreover, he has audited employee benefit plans for public and private companies.
He is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida. Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
