Marcela Varela is a principal in Kaufman Rossin’s forensic, advisory and valuation services practice where she brings over 20 years of experience to her clients.
She leads family law engagements with a focus on advising high-net-worth individuals and private clients in divorce cases. Her experience includes the preparation of financial affidavits, child support guideline calculations, lifestyle analyses and equitable distribution.
Marcela also performs business valuations in connection with family law matters, estate and gift tax matters and computes economic damage elements such as personal injury, wrongful death and employment law matters.
Before joining Kaufman Rossin in 2000, Marcela oversaw financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing and payroll at Latin Financial Consulting.
She is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts. Marcela is also an associate member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Forensic and Valuation Services Section.
Marcela is a Certified Valuation Analyst and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
