Overview
Zachary Siegel is a senior manager in the assurance and advisory practice at Kaufman Rossin where he brings over a decade of public accounting experience.
In his current role, Zack has extensive experience with navigating and researching the accounting for complex and technical transactions, including revenue recognition, business combinations, asset acquisitions and disposals, distinguishing liabilities from equity, and contracts on an entity’s own equity, among others. Most recently, he has become the ASC 842, Leases champion at the firm where he is now a valuable internal resource and has consulted clients on implementing and accounting for the new standard. He enjoys researching and assisting clients by providing solutions for accounting-related projects.
Zack also works with financial reporting requirements by preparing private company clients’ financial statements including drafting footnote disclosures. He leads engagements in an array of industries including real estate and construction, technology, online advertising, retail, and healthcare.
Before joining the firm in 2017, Zack worked at a mid-sized national public accounting firm in New York where he served public and private companies for more than four years. Prior to entering the public accounting field, he was an accounting manager for a small business in the wood flooring industry. Through his experience assisting in running the business for five years, he learned the inner workings of the construction industry.
He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and Florida and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
