Kaufman Rossin, one of the Top 100 CPA and advisory firms in the U.S., announced today that the firm has joined the growing coalition pledging to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. One of more than 900 CEOs that have come together for CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™, Kaufman Rossin’s Blain Heckaman has signed the CEO Pledge as a sign of his commitment and the firm’s commitment to this important issue.

By signing on to this commitment, Kaufman Rossin is pledging to take action to cultivate a workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected and where employees feel encouraged to discuss diversity and inclusion. The collective of more than 900 signatories have already shared more than 700 best known actions, exchanging tangible learning opportunities and creating collaborative conversations via the initiative’s unified hub, CEOAction.com.

Kaufman Rossin’s Diversity and Inclusion Initiative started in 2015 with a focus on fostering an inclusive culture that encourages different perspectives and enables all employees to thrive professionally and personally, regardless of their backgrounds.

“Our focus on diversity and inclusion ties directly to two of Kaufman Rossin’s core values, integrity and fairness, and I’m proud to make this commitment on behalf of our firm,” said Heckaman. “Creating an environment where diverse perspectives are shared and all employees have the ability to thrive enriches our firm culture and enables us to provide a better experience, not only for our employees, but also for our clients.”

Organizations joining the pledge are taking a step towards effecting positive change. A diverse and inclusive workforce facilitates community, but also drives innovation and creativity. Studies have shown that diversity is a key component to fostering innovation.

CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion is cultivating a new type of ecosystem centered around collaboration and sharing. The actions, available via CEOAction.com, showcase real-life examples of the open and transparent conversations to cultivate more diverse and inclusive workplace environments. The addition of new signatories expands the impact of this work beyond the office to communities and industries.
