Lianet Cicero is a director in Kaufman Rossin's Risk Advisory Services practice. Her expertise assists financial institutions in preparing and responding to regulatory examinations, including compliance with remediation requirements of regulatory enforcement actions and monitoring activities.
Lianet has more than twelve years in the financial services industry. She provides a wide range of compliance consulting services to financial institutions related to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), sanctions regulations, Sarbanes Oxley, and FDICIA (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Improvement). In addition, she is proficient in providing internal audit services, risk assessments, and leading special projects related to lookback projects, high-risk reviews, and corresponding banking assessments.
Lianet also has experience assisting international financial institutions related to BSA and AML gap analysis, evaluating AML compliance programs, and systems in place compared to regulatory expectations and against best practices used by U.S. banks.
Lianet is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS), and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association of Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS). Lianet received a bachelor’s and Masters in Accounting from the University of Florida.
