Kaufman Rossin promotes Bryant “B.J.” Moravek to Principal of risk advisory services

Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent CPA and advisory firm in Florida and one of the top 100 firms in the U.S., has promoted Bryant “B.J.” Moravek, CCAS, CAMS, CGSS, to a principal in risk advisory services.

Moravek brings over 30 years of experience and assists clients with Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) and Sanctions compliance, as well as investigative matters. He directs BSA/AML and Sanctions consulting engagements including transaction look-backs, risk assessments, independent tests of compliance, model validations and system calibrations. He is a federally designated expert in the BSA and prior to joining Kaufman Rossin, served as a Senior Bank Examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) in Washington, D.C.

Before that, he was a Senior Special Agent in the Office of Enforcement at the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), completed a 20-year career as a Supervisory Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, and served as a Senior Advisor to U.S. Senator Alfonse D’Amato, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. Additionally, Moravek has served as a BSA/AML/OFAC compliance Officer for several large multi-national financial institutions during his career.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in the Administration of Justice from Moravian University.
