Overview

Michael Fletcher is a principal in Kaufman Rossin’s tax department. He brings over 40 years of tax advisory experience serving entrepreneurs, middle-market businesses, family offices, private equity funds, portfolio companies, and multinational companies, both public registrants and private global organizations. He has significant experience working with technology and software development companies as well as real estate investors, developers, owners, and managers.

Michael is an experienced and skilled professional in corporate tax matters, mergers and acquisitions, digital transformation and IRS tax resolutions. He is well versed at helping multistate/multinational companies develop and implement tax department governance and technology deployment strategies.

Michael has developed and implemented legal entity structures and works with clients on acquisition or sale transactions, due diligence processes, post-merger integration, and value creation plan implementation. He has a significant level of experience helping taxpayers to identify and mitigate tax exposures and resolve IRS and state/municipal controversy matters. Additionally, he addresses domestic and international taxable presence issues and intercompany transaction planning.

Michael is also a seasoned speaker. He has presented on various tax topics to Tax Executive Institute Chapters across the U.S., including Southeastern PA, Greater Washington, D.C., Anchorage, AK, and Research Triangle, NC. He has also discussed supply chain tax, systems, and process matters with the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Washington Society of CPAs, and the Association for Corporate Growth.

He is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and Virginia and is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Widener University.
