Overview
For more than four decades, Robert A. Stone has helped wealthy clients and entrepreneurs manage complex problems and capitalize on opportunities. His practice is grounded in audit, accounting, and tax services. He counsels clients on estate and trust planning, and mergers and acquisitions.
When providing litigation support, Robert brings his understanding of the real-world issues his clients face to their business disputes. He has provided expert testimony in numerous commercial and marital cases. He has been qualified as an accounting and valuation expert in U.S. District Courts, and the circuit courts of Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Collier and Monroe Counties.
Since joining Kaufman Rossin in 1977, Robert has worked with hundreds of high-net-worth individuals and businesses. An astute listener, he recognizes clients’ issues and guides them to reasoned solutions.
An active community leader, Robert serves as treasurer and board member of Setting Scoliosis Straight. He is a member of Mount Sinai Medical Center’s audit, compliance and finance committees. Previously, Robert served as president of the board of trustees of the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation and chairman of the hospital’s audit, finance and corporate compliances committees. Robert was also chairman of the board of trustees of Ransom Everglades School.
Robert is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a charter member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Foundations’ forensic and business valuation division, and was a former non-lawyer member of the Florida Bar Association’s grievance committee. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida, Accredited in Business Valuations and Certified in Financial Forensics.
